One of the greatest freedoms overlooked by most Americans is the freedom to travel the world. I’m still shocked to learn that only 1 out of two Americans hold a US Passport (!!). I wish more people would get out and travel because it’s so enriching.
On the other hand, I know many travelers hold more than one Passport and will use them when there’s an “advantage” when traveling (such as getting around paying a reciprocity fee, etc.).
The Passport Index ranks each country’s Passport by their Passport Power Rank. Passports are ranked based on their Visa Free Score. The higher the Visa Free Score, the better the Passport Power Rank.
I’m not surprised to see United States listed as #1 (tied with United Kingdom).  The bottom of the list (least powerful passports) includes Myanmar, South Sudan, and Palestinian Territories.
I am a bit surprised to see that #2 on the list includes South Korea.
What passports do you hold and where do they fall on the list?

I wonder how the list would look if you were to look at things like access to consular/embassy services in an emergency? Citizens of Taiwan, currently ranked 24 in the visa-free travel list, would drop like a stone given its lack of official recognition and embassies globally.
Other equally interesting measures could be ability to apply for work visas of any kind or permissible long-term residence in other countries, though that may be heavily skewed by countries of the EEA.

3 passports: #1, #3 and #17. Pretty much covered anywhere I want to go :)

Only 2 passports. #1 and #3.

#45, so far so good
As long as a person is rich enough, it is easy to get a VISA, not big deal.

1 out of 2 Anericans hold a passport?? No way. I’d be surprised if *that* were true. I’d think it would be much less.
