Virgin America has a pretty neat refer-a-friend campaign happening now until March 31, where you and a friend can earn 500 points each for signing up for the Virgin America Elevate program.
You can even earn the 500 bonus points if you refer yourself or you can use a friend’s link (here’s mine). I’ve already signed up both of my kids for Elevate to generate the referral points, and I will recruit some other family members to join too.
Virgin America’s loyalty program is revenue-based, and free flights start at 2,500 points, so you’re looking at a potential of a free flight here.
I recently blogged about how I saw transcontinental flights on Virgin America for under 5,000 Elevate points (example JFK-LAS), so I see tons of value in this promotion.
While referral points will take 4-6 weeks to post, it’s worth reminding you that there’s currently a 50% transfer bonus from American Express Membership Rewards to Virgin elevate points until March 10, 2016.

It seems that they have deactivated the “Do it with a friend” button?????? The only option I am getting is to sign up as a new Elevate member. I’m not getting an option to refer a friend.
