Sometimes we forget about the little ways to earn points that don’t involve actually flying. I logged into my JetBlue account yesterday because I am flying JetBlue this weekend, and I was reminded of the JetBlue Badges incentive. JetBlue Badges allow you to earn extra points by completing some tasks and milestones in addition to the points you’d earn by flying normally.
Without putting too much effort in, I’ve earned 1,000 free points ($14 value) from Badges so far.
There are currently 494 badges and the majority of them are earned by… you guessed it – flying to unique JetBlue destinations. But there are also hundreds of ways to earn badges via engaging in social media and partner offers.
For instance, here’s a glance of what you can currently earn:
- Joining Badges For the First Time – 100 points
- Connecting Your Facebook Account – 50 points
- Connecting Your Twitter Account – 50 points
- Tweeting About Badges 5x – 50 points
- Taking a JetBlue Flight During Your Birthday Month – 500 points
Of course, if you’re really feeling ambitious, you can earn a whopping 500,000 points ($7000 value!) if you fly to every current JetBlue destination. I wonder how many have earned that one?
Bottom Line:
Got spare time? Earn badges for some easy points to bring you closer to a free flight. Also, consider earning badges for other members of your household and then family pooling all of those points (you’ll also earn a badge for setting up family pooling).
If someone in your household does not yet have a JetBlue TrueBlue account, consider registering them with this promotion, which will allow them a chance to earn 3,500 bonus points if they have a flight coming up before March 14.
How many JetBlue badges and points have you earned so far?
