Best Western Diamond Status Match

May 7, 2016 by Angelina Aucello 3 Comments

With all of the recent talk about free hotel status and status matching, I remembered that Best Western offers an on-going promotion called “Status Match No Catch“, and it’s a fairly simple process.

While the site suggests filling out the form to request the status match, I just sent an email to StatusMatch@bestwestern.com, asking for a match, with my Best Western Rewards number and proof of my Diamond Status with Hilton (via another match, of course).

Within a few hours, my status match request was honored:

a white text on a white backgroundWhile Best Western hotels are rarely on my radar these days, it would be nice to get somewhat of a room upgrade and welcome amenity if I ever find myself at one of their properties in the near future. For something that only took 2 minutes of my time, I felt it was worth doing.

Thanks for sharing! I don’t stay at Best Westerns very often, but just booked one in Seward, AK for a couple days tomorrow.

Let’s see if the status match comes in time.

I tried this years back and never got matched or even heard back from them. I was very disappointed by not kept promises. especially not even a “sorry can’t do” letter.

I earned now Diamond the old fashioned way… but still.

Any restrictions or expiration on the status match? I know some chains limit status matching to once per lifetime.
