I just found out about an easy way to earn 250 Aeroplan miles to keep your Aeroplan balance from expiring!
You can earn 250 miles just for telling a story about your latest Aeroplan redemption.
After submitting my story about a recent Aeroplan redemption (Lufthansa First Class), I saw confirmation message on my screen:
Thank you for sharing your Aeroplan travel story with us! You will be credited 250 miles within 6 to 8 weeks, if your story is selected
Regarding the “if your story is selected” language, I went ahead and contacted an external communications manager, and here is the response:
Most likely all members who submit a story will earn the 250 miles. The word “selected” was used to help in that we really want members to go through the effort of submitting a story, not just filling out one line in the form type thing to get the miles.
So it seems as long as your story contains substance, you should have no problem receiving the 250 miles. Since it took me no more than 3 minutes to write the story, I felt it was worth it to participate. If the 250 actually post, I’d consider it a bonus. Of course, YMMV.
