I enjoy staying fit when I travel, but visiting a hotel’s fitness center isn’t exactly motivating because there isn’t an accountability factor or someone to tell me to push harder. I prefer exercising in a group-class setting, and I especially love barre, hot yoga, and pilates, so when I travel, I often will seek a yoga studio to take classes at.
I’ve heard f ClassPass before, but I never really had a push to try it until now.
British Airways has announced an exciting new offer alongside ClassPass to provide vacation and fitness packages for customers looking to travel more and get healthy in 2017 (two of the top resolutions for Americans every year). Thanks to British Airways, new members of ClassPass can enjoy one month of ClassPass at 70% off!
This is the first time ClassPass has partnered with an airline to extend a discount to travelers, and I think it’s so cool that we’re seeing airline packages geared around staying fit on the go.
What is ClassPass?
ClassPass is a monthly subscription service providing access to the world’s largest network of boutique fitness studios and gyms. With tens of thousands of classes available at over 8,500 locations worldwide, ClassPass makes working out more engaging, accessible, and affordable, giving members unprecedented choice and flexibility by offering a diversity of options, including cycling, Pilates, yoga, boot camp, strength training, dance and more.
The ClassPass offer can be redeemed by customers residing in the following British Airways gateway cities: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, and Washington DC. Limited time only, while supplies last. Class cancellation fees apply during the promotional period. Offer ends January 24, 2017. New members only. Terms and conditions apply. After the promotional period, membership automatically renews at the standard monthly rate plus tax where applicable. Members can cancel online at any time.
The timing is perfect for this offer, as I will be spending a week in South Beach next month, so being able to take 5 fitness classes while I’m there for $18 is a no-brainer.
British Airways is also offering great package deals with flights plus five nights hotel (based on double occupancy) from all US gateways with travel to London and select European cities. Travel to London packages start from $689 per person inclusive of taxes, fees and carrier charges for travel from New York JFK including roundtrip World Traveller economy airfare and five nights at the Tune Hotel, Paddington. I love that BA is encouraging travel and wellness simultaneously.
What are your thoughts? Have you used ClassPass before while traveling? Is staying fit important to you on the go?
