Star MegaDo 8 Dates & Location Announced!

Just in! Details about my favorite frequent flyer event ever were just announced!

For those readers who still have no idea what a MegaDo is, in simple terms, it’s basically the ultimate travel junkie’s field trip where about 200 other frequent flyer fanatics come together and charter a plane to hop around from city to city and participate in some pretty awesome behind-the-scenes programs put together by the sponsors.

The next Star Alliance MegaDO will take place on September 19-22 in Europe and take us to Vienna (VIE), Brussels (BRU), and Mallorca (PMI) on a chartered A320 operated by Brussels Airlines.

The official hotel sponsor for SMD8 is Hyatt, so I already know it’s going to be great! Additionally, all MegaDo participants will receive complimentary trial Hyatt Explorist status from September 19th, 2017 through December 19th, 2017, and benefit from the following Elite Quick Qualify offer: stay 10 nights during the 90 day window to maintain Explorist status, or 20 nights to earn Globalist status.

Prices start at $999 for economy & all Star MegaDO participants are VIPs and get access to all scheduled events and receptions! The exact price of your ticket depends on your class of service on the charter flight.

Your ticket includes:

• A reserved seat on our exclusive Star MegaDo flight operated by Brussels Airlines, in the class of service of your choice, with full meals and an open bar in all classes of service.
• Access to all events and receptions.
• Bus transportation to the events, when mentioned on the schedule.

Some of my favorite highlights from the previous Megado included a private visit to the Airbus factory in Hamburg, sunset drinks at Mykonos, a VIP ground experience at ZRH, and Star Alliance Gold Status from Aegean!
