About a month ago, I took advantage of the free platinum status offer with Accor Hotels. Although I have yet to stay at an Accor property, this free status has been helpful in providing me quite a few status matches (including Diamond Status with Best Western’s Gold Crown Club).
It looks like the free platinum status is back again with Accor’s A|Club, and you can register here. Apparently this offer is only available for new accounts, and not for existing members.

@Anon: Yikes, yes looks like it might be dead already :-/. However, This is the 2nd time they've offered free platinum status in the past few months, so hopefully they continue the trend in the future. I'll be sure to post again when this offer is back. Thanks for stopping by!
