It’s contest time! Yay for free points!
If you’ve been actively following the blog, you sure know that I have been blogging frequently about my Texas Road Trip made entirely possible by redeeming Club Carlson points (hopefully I’m not boring you to tears!).
What’s a more appropriate prize than giving away 9,000 of my very own Club Carlson points to a lucky reader? Just so you know, 9,000 points are enough to redeem for a free night in a Category 1 Club Carlson hotel.
So how do you enter?
Entering is easy, and there are 3 ways to do so. All you have to do is one of the following (brownie points and a smile if you do all 3!)
- “Like” Just Another Points Traveler on Facebook
- Follow me on Twitter & tweet at me saying Hi!
- Subscribe to the blog via email (you only get 1 email a day).

Following you on Twitter now. New to points just having start July 2011. After meeting 3 current spends I will have racked up 800,000 + miles. My husband and I will be in Hawaii in September 2012 enjoying the rewards.

I have been a regular reader of your blog. My favorite points story is when I got lucky at the AAdvantage mileathon to win 200,000 miles and used it to have an awesome trip to Europe.

Subscribed to email. My GF and I flew US MCI-CLT-PIT//UA PIT-IAD-ORF//US ORF-DCA//UA IAD-ORD-ICT on an ANA award (transferred from Amex MR) for only 22k miles each because that routing was under a total of 4000 miles. Each // was a multi-day stop. At each stop we visited family of hers (including a family reunion) or friends of mine. A lot of those places in the East were in fairly easy driving distance of each other (if we'd have done our itinerary in geographical order, it would have been a max 3 hr drive between each stop) but one-way car rentals are so insanely expensive (or we would have had an 9 hour drive on the end) it was far easier to just hop around on a plane and have friends/family pick us up (plus a two-week car rental is nothing to sneeze at even if it's not one-way). ANA awards are AWESOME for this kind of many-stop, short-hop redemption. If we would have tried to purchase those tickets, I think it was north of $1500/each.

Hi, I have done all three steps for FB like, twiitering you (as kanwkwal) and subscribing to email. My favorite points story is the club carlson 50,000 giveaway wherein I was able to rake in over 400,000+ points using my family members stays as well.

Been so many, hard to find one that stands out! Maybe DTW to HNL on saver awards on Delta booked a day before & spent 5 nights in Sheraton Waikiki for only about 42k Starwood points (after points credit for a service issue)

Liked you on fb, and tweeted you!I just seriously started collecting miles, so no really interesting stories yet, but stay tuned!
Lance says
We did a great trip to Hawaii in October – using FF miles to get us free airfare for our family of 5, plus a couple of nights in Starwood hotel properties. It was paradise!!! (the rest of the time we spent in a condo – which gave us more room)

I liked your page on FaceBook! My best award travel to date has to be my upcoming trip with my wife and parents. We will be traveling to Tahiti using AA miles. We were also lucky to use points at the Thalasso and Moana. We still had to the pay the $450 for the round trip to Bora Bora and back. I can't wait!

Just like your Facebook page! Best award trip we had was when I realized it was a better value to redeem for first class instead of coach, and my wife and I took a first class trip to Aruba!
uitrader says
My best redemption would have to be when I used BA miles to book JFK to Rio de janiero stop 3days to Iguazu falls stop 2 days to Lima 1 night, to Cusco to visit Machhu Picchu all on a one way reward ticket 30000 points and came back on Continental for 20000 points.I would like you on facebook, but don't have a page.Instead I will like you on twitter twice as much….

My most recent "points redemption": My 16yo daughter and I travelled to London and Paris last Spring Break, using American Airlines points for both round-trip tickets. I made our reservations well in advance, so we got to anticipate the trip for months and we are still talking about all the great things we saw and did. I love to travel!

My most recent was booking a trip to far east. My best one will be when I book a trip somewhere beachy with your beautiful face! : ) jk kinda..

I am new at this game. Been into it for one year now and my best redemption is not exciting as many on here….but hey, I am just tickled that I am flying from Utah to Hawaii (x 2), NYC, Cancun, and multiple trips to Southern California….all in 12 months and just using points and miles!
Tanya Rausch says
My best redemption is the one I just did; the British Airways companion pass (earned with 30K spend last year). Trip for two to London in first class :)
Dale Rausch says
After earning 160,000 Marriott points between my wife and I, we redeemed for 5 nights (5th night free!) at the Marriott in San Diego Gaslamp for Comic Con in July :)
KAVITA BANSAL says
Best redemption was the new year at Park Plaza in an executive suite with complimentary wine/fruit/chocolates, 70 dollar food credit, transfers and new year party attendance, all for free for the family.
KRISHIV says

Fairly new to the points world myself but was convinced when I was able to take my parents on their 'first' vacation to the Rockies (Canada) using their Air Miles. It was amazing how everything from flight, hotel, car rental and even tickets to attractions were all offered through the program. Finishing up my degree this year, so looking forward to doing more travel!

Im also fairly new to to collecting points and travelling so i don't have many stories, but my best story was when I had to travel to Brazil and I used the Friends and Family rate at the Radisson Hotel Sao Paulo Faria Lima. they made a mistake and gave me points for my stay, which started me on a points and millage crusade! Now I read various blogs and forums to try to get tips and advice on how to travel the world! =)
