Spirit Airlines is Giving 15K People 20K Miles Each

During the 2nd 2012 multi-city Spirit Airlines’ tour, the airline will be hitting 25 cities across the United States to give away a total of 300 Million Miles. 15,000 people will each receive 20 thousand miles to redeem for free flights. Complete tour details can be found here.

Though I didn’t have the greatest experience with Spirit when my flight from ORD to LGA was canceled last month, I’ll admit that I’m a tad bummed that there aren’t any stops in NJ or NYC for me to get a free flight. It looks like Texas (as well as other cities in the west) has the majority of the stops on this tour. Is your city listed?  Do you plan on taking advantage of this offer?

I’ve made the mistake of flying them twice before!

I respect them for their model and for staying true to it. They do exactly as they say and don’t shy away from a la carte pricing, and do generally have the cheapest base fare.

BUT the service is horrible. A la Carte does not mean I deserve rude service, hold times over 2 hours on the phone, and wildly oversold flights.

Sorry Spirit, Ill shell out the money to fly just about anyone else.

I would not fly them if they paid me!

What a nightmare…winning Spirit Miles. I’d rather have my nipples sanded.

    LOL @ Ward’s comment…

@Noah: My first LGA to ORD flight was a breeze, but the return was a nightmare… left a very bad taste in my mouth. The service is horrendous.

I was one of the thousands of idiots that stood in line for free airfare. My boyfriend and I both. We “won” the free airfare however they never deposited the free miles to either of our accounts. It’s really quite sad as we haven’t went on vacation for what seems like forever..
