While I generally do not watch award shows, I think I might keep the Oscars on in the background tonight to potentially earn miles through Bckstgr. A few months ago, I posted about an exciting way to earn 1,000 free and instant United MileagePlus miles just for signing up and syncing your social networks with new social platform. That was a fun and easy way to free miles.
While I haven’t logged into Bckstgr since that great new-member bonus, I was a bit intrigued after receiving this email from the company a few days ago:

Curious as to what exactly you have to do? Just visit BCKSTGR.com/earn on Sunday night to find out! These offers will only be available from 7:00pm until Midnight  Eastern Time. Make sure you’re part of the action! After all, what else are you going to do during commercials?
With that message in mind, I just logged into my account and saw that they had posted their Oscar mileage offers. As of now, it looks like you can earn a total of 55 United miles for tweeting during the Oscars.
I hope the page continuously gets updated with more ways to earn miles as the night goes on, because all the hype for just 55 miles is a tad of a let down.

I got 75 miles from a mix of facebook and tweets. Cancelled the credit card a few months ago, so thanks for prolonging the life of my miles.
