Free One Night Airbnb Stay (Up to $300)

January 13, 2014 by Angelina Aucello 12 Comments

I personally love Airbnb; I have used it successfully many times on both ends of the spectrum – as a host (I rented out my apartment during the times I was traveling to help with rent) and as a guest (especially in areas where hotels are super pricey, like Rio de Janeiro).

Now that I think about it, if I still had my East Rutherford, NJ apartment, which was located only 2 minutes away from Metlife Stadium, I could have made a fortune renting it out during Super Bowl weekend (some friends of mine in that area are getting as much as $10,000 for the weekend – shucks!).

Anyway, I stumbled across a pretty neat Airbnb promotion for new users – book your first trip between January 13 – 17 for travel by March 31, and one night of your stay of at least two nights is on us (value up to $300).* You’ll need to use promo code ONENIGHT at booking.

If you don’t have an Airbnb account yet, allow me to refer you (full disclosure, I will get $25 in Airbnb credit after your first booking). You may also leave your link in the comments as well.

Full promo T&C:

*The discount is valid only for guests who have never completed a booking on Airbnb. To receive the discount, you must book via the Airbnb website with promo code ONENIGHT and successfully complete Airbnb’sVerified ID process prior to booking. You must complete a booking (including host acceptance) using the code between 12:00am PST (California time) on January 13 and 11:59pm PST (California time) on January 17. The discount applies to one night of your stay up to a maximum of USD$300. The cost of “one night†is calculated by averaging the base reservation rate for each night, excluding taxes or other fees charged by your host, such as cleaning fees. Your stay must be at least two nights in length at the same listing, and must begin no later than 11:59pm PST (California time) on March 31, 2014. Limit one discount per new user. The offer is valid for a single use and is not transferrable to another user or redeemable for cash. If your booking later qualifies for a refund, the maximum refund you may receive is the amount you actually paid. The code cannot be used for bookings made through Airbnb’s mobile apps. The code may not be combined with another Airbnb coupon or discount code. Host payouts will not be affected by permissible guest use of the code. Airbnb reserves the right to any remedy, including denial of the discount or cancellation of your account or reservations, if fraud, tampering, violations of Airbnb’s Terms of Service or technical errors are suspected.

Have you used Airbnb? If so – how were your experiences? If you haven’t used Airbnb yet, will this promotion entice you to give it a whirl?

Thanks for the heads up! I was able to use this to get a cute little cottage in Hawaii for a 2-night stay instead of the campground I had otherwise planned on :) Great deal for anyone who can take advantage of it.

I used your referral link to sign up. Mine is: https://www.airbnb.com/tell-a-friend?airef=7hnnvzd7b88zz5

Thanks for the great tip, excellent for European stays. Many offerings in Europe are in city-centre apartment blocks with a full time reception desk, so none of the security concerns that may put some off AirBNB.

This fall I rented a cute cottage in Glen Ellen, CA wine country. Loved it & paid far less than a modest hotel-I looked. Time to have the wife book a weekend away.

Just booked a gorgeous penthouse in Tel Aviv for the same cost as a cash-n-points deal with SPG. I am thrilled to redeposit those precious SPG points for another trip!

I am not a new user of Airbnb but was able to sign my 21 year old daughter up and reserve under her name. She’s traveling with us and this will give her a positive Airbnb review to help establish her reputation as a guest. Win-win!
