I love, love, love AmEx Sync promotions. I’m so happy that several new ones were released for this summer (see below for some of my favorites). When I logged in and clicked the “Offers For You” tab today, I was delighted to see this:
Saving money on groceries is always exciting, and this is an easy $30 in free money. What’s even better is that most major supermarkets sell gift cards to other retailers such as Amazon, gas stations, etc. Did you see this offer in your account?
Here are some of my favorite current AmEx sync deals:
- BP:Â Spend $30+, get a $5 statement credit. Expires 6/30/2014. #AmexBP
- Dunkin’ Donuts: Spend $5+, get a $5 statement credit. Expires 6/30/2014. #AmexDunkinDonut
- The Home Depot:Â Spend $75, get a $15 statement credit. Expires 6/30/2014. #AmexHomeDepot
- Lord & Taylor:Â Spend $100+, get a $20 statement credit. Expires 6/30/2014. #AmexLordandTaylor
- ExxonMobil:Â Spend $30+, get a $5 statement credit. Expires 7/31/2014. #AmexExxonMobil

No love for me in my AMEX account. None of my cards have that shopping promo :(
susangol says
I have 5 AmEx cards, but no idea where to find the offers. What do I need to do to take advantage of this offer?
Sammy says
Should be #ExxonMobil
Sharon says
I have 5 cards too, didn’t see this one in any!
Shawn says
Didn’t show up for me either. :-(
Kevin says
@Angelina I think it should be ExxonMobil without the E in the end
@Susangol you need to do this via twitter if you don’t see them in your American express account

My offer details say this must be a supermarket in California. Did yours say the same or have a similar state restriction?
Also, the MCC may be a bit more restrictive:
For purposes of this offer, “Supermarket” means a store whose primary business comes from the sale of a variety of foods such as meat, fresh produce, dairy, canned and packaged goods, but also sells a variety of household products, pharmacy products and pet supplies.
The following are NOT considered supermarkets: specialty food stores, small grocery stores, gourmet shops, convenience stores, drug stores, natural food stores and superstores including warehouse clubs, big box stores, and hypermarkets.

I have multiple Amex cards and this offer only appear on the card I use the most, so this may be an one offer per cardmember, not card account.
Other offers like Henri Bendel and ABT Electronics appeared on multiple Amex cards.
Angelina says
@Sammy&Kevin: Thanks – I’ve updated the Exxon offer
@askmrlee: Yes I believe it’s one per cardmember… it was only available on one out of my 3accounts. Mine was also specific to NJ/NY/CT super markets.
MarkD says
How much do you want to bet that it is NOT available on the AMEX Blue Cash which gets 5% back at supermarkets???
There is a workaround for the one per cardmember offer. Just clone your browser tab for each card and select a different card on each tab. Now you can select the offer for each card.
Karen says
It was on my 2 AMEX Blue Cash Cards that get 6% (up to limit) on supermarkets.
