How cool and innovative! United’s new safety video is out and I LOVE IT. It’s very entertaining and inspiring. You can check it out here.
Get ready to memorize it before you get on board though… because like me, you’ll be watching it every day – if you want to win cool prizes!
From now through August 11, United is giving away prizes if you can spot the daily clues in the video.
It looks like today’s prizes have been claimed already (man I wish I would have snagged the tickets to Paris), but every day they are giving away something new.
In the meantime – what do you think of the video?

I really don’t get how to play this game…

I clicked on the smoking volcano and it was the right spot, but the prize was already claimed for the day.
I didn’t find the Paris prize spot however.
You just click on the video in different spots to try and find the prize
Angelina Aucello says
@Heather: Just click and hope for the best, LOL
@LauraPDX: Yup, that’s the strategy!
Keith says
Click on what? A clue? A clue of what? No one has explained the game.
“just click and hope you win”
Seriously?
A game should have a purpose, so what is the purpose? We’re looking for a clue of what?
You can’t ask someone to look for a clue without telling us what it’s a clue to?
Does anyone get this???
Heather @ pass the dressing says
I’m in agreement with Keith on this one. It’s such an odd game.

Have to disagree, this could be one of the dumbest most culturally insensitive videos I’ve ever seen.
You have a captain touching someone he doesn’t know, passengers taking pictures during the safety video which is against UA policy. Flight attendant telling a cabbie to fashion his seatbelt, because he apparently had been driving without one until that point?
It’s also 50% longer and just came across as arrogant.
Glad you liked it, but this was just an AWFUL attempt and just shows how out of touch United is with everything, including the fact that their planes now sit on the ground 1m30s longer each flight to finish the video.

In my browser there is no way to fast forward the clip. The hot spots today (8/8) were at 3:02 and 3:54 in the video.
So, riddle me this: how were the prizes claimed in just over 1 minute (25k), and just over 2 minutes (kangaroo), as I watched the contest page update while the clip played?

I loved it too, Angelina – first time I’ve ever ENJOYED a safety video…I was smiling and even laughing. What a pleasant way to start a trip. And the smiles continue as we’re now back in Aix – so gorgeous! Have you been?
