I Just Bought A W Bed – Great Sale at RueLaLa

April 23, 2015 by Angelina Aucello 7 Comments

Yesterday I wrote about my experience using the American Express return protection benefit on a final-sale order at RueLaLa.  Ironically enough, I voluntarily placed another final-sale order at RueLaLa tonight.

With a growing family, it seems like our bed is shrinking, and we’ve been talking about upgrading to a king bed for some time now. I truly believe investing in a “good bed” is good for your overall well-being (after all, you spend 1/3 of your life in one), and we’ve been eying the W bed for a while.

Look what popped up on RueLaLa today:

a bed with white sheets and pillows

Without much thought, I clicked the purchase button (using an AmEx, of course) because I believe this is a really good deal for the complete 20-piece bed set.

a bed with white sheets and pillowsMy parents caved in and bought a W bed 2 years ago after spending 25 years on an old, hard mattress, and I swear they are happier people now.

Looking forward to sleeping in a new and upgraded bed. Do you have a hotel bed? If so, which one?

I bought one from the NYLO brand when I stayed there about 6 months ago. It’s made by Serta. It was a fortune, but I have never slept better in my life. I actually will seek out this hotel in Dallas just because the bed is so good.

I have the W also. We love it. It’s been about a year & it’s the best bed ever. almost too comfortable.

The only downfall is, when we stay in hotels – every bed is uncomfortable and we just want to get home to our heavenly W bed.

I hope you have better luck than we did. this is probably the worst bed we’ve ever bought, after about a yr it started sagging, but not enough to get a replacement.

I agree with Brandon. It seems like the W Beds being sold over the past year are not of the same quality as the mattresses they sold just a few years ago. I bought mine 11 months ago and already have sagging issues with this bed. I am not at all picky when it comes to mattresses, but this is one purchase I truly regret.

A couple relatives also purchased the W bed when it was on sale last year, and they also have the sagging issue.

I have been waiting for a W hotel bed sale of 60% off to come back for a long time. Finally gave in and bought a new mattress last week. You can actually get the same bed (simmons beautyrest) for cheaper at us-mattress.com or go into any sleepys store and they will do a price match. I got the queen set (more coils than the W hotel bed) for $900 all in after taxes (mattress, frame, boxspring).

    Angelina,

Yes, years ago I bought a Westin Heavenly Bed and then added on the bedding package. It is truely awesome. I love it. I have had the bed for about 6 or 7 years now and I count it as one of the best purchases I have ever made.

    Enjoy the Heavenly Bed!

Best bed I ever bought is the Select Comfort where my wife and I can adjust the softness or hardness of the bed individually…..
    good luck with your bed…
