While on the check-out page at Amazon.com, I noticed I had an offer to apply a promo code for $15 off an order of $50 or more by linking my American Express Membership Rewards account and paying with points.
This offer may be targeted to specific Amazon accounts (I’ve seen mention of these promos in the past, however I was never eligible until now).
Of course, using points to pay for merchandise is a practice I’d never recommend in general, but I decided to see if I could spend one penny’s worth of points to trigger the discount. Sparing literally 1.43 points to activate the $15 off sounded like a given to me.
By doing that and using promo code SWP07AXP15, I was able to knock $15 off of my order.
