Chanel Flats For $110?! I’m Stacking Deals at TheRealReal; and Hello, I Have a Shopping Addiction

October 2, 2015 by Angelina Aucello 2 Comments

It’s still raining here, and I’m hearing the worst has yet to come, so… let the retail therapy continue!

Another mom in my local Facebook Buy/Sell group alerted me of my now-new-addiction, TheRealReal, which his high-end designer consignment in an online sample sale environment and the prices are unreal.

I’m a sucker for shoes and bags, so my “obsessions” list starting growing at an astronomical pace:a collage of shoes and bags

Then, to my surprise, I saw there was an AmEx offer waiting for me when I logged into American Express this morning!a close up of a website

Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a total of $150 or more online at TheRealReal.com by 11/3/2015.

I acted too quickly, and added it to my first available card before trying the “multi browser trick” to get the offer for my other cards for even more savings, and I’m assuming it will work on gift card purchases.

There’s also a 20% code for TheRealReal that can work on non-sale items:

20% OFF! Use promo code: NEWSEASON — Sale Ends 10/05

After narrowing down my “obsessions” (my likes), I decided to splurge and buy myself my first pair of Chanel flats, that were calling my name at 30% off (I couldn’t use the 20% promo code with this).

At check out, I was surprised I had a $25 store credit (from joining maybe?) – even better!

Thanks for using your Amex Offer at THE REALREAL INC. Look out for a $50.00 statement credit, which will automatically be applied to your statement if your purchase meets the offer terms.

I’m not sure if my shoes are final sale if they don’t fit (I’m normally a size 6, but research tells me Chanel runs small), but since I used an American Express card, I can always use the return protection benefit… or at the very least, try to resell them on my other obsession – PoshMark!

I’ll leave off with a quote to brighten the day…a notebook with gold writing on itHappy Shopping!!

Angelina-I scored last week. I had a 40% coupon and bought 4 $150 gift cards to trigger the rebate. I bought an LV Alize bag for $500! Score! Excellent travel bag! Shipped in 2 days as well. Unfortunately they have expensive basic shipping but you definitely don’t need to upgrade as it came so fast.
