A few days ago, I registered for the standard Q4 SPG promo, “Stay For More“, where you can earn 2x Starpoints on stays of 2 nights or more + 500 Starpoints on stays of 3 nights or more. While the promo itself is certainly not much to write home about, registration is always encouraged because after all, extra points are a good thing, right?
I received an unexpected email this morning from Starwood titled, “Enjoy an Exclusive Bonus Offer”:
My offer was an opportunity to earn 7,500 bonus points (enough for a category 3 hotel) after 3 stays. These earnings seem to be in addition to the earnings I’d receive from the “Stay For More” promotion.
While this bonus promo is not as lucrative as some that I’ve received in the past from Starwood (such as stay one night, get a free night certificate valid at any Starwood property), and it’s certainly not “mattress-run” worthy, but it’s still a nice incentive to keep me considering Starwood properties until the end of the year.
This bonus offer definitely seems to be targeted, so I’d keep an eye on your inbox (or junk mail folder), or check to see if your account is eligible here.
