I just came across this offer from Hilton:
Apparently it’s being advertised in the image that Hilton will match status with another program valid all the way up until March, 31 2018Â (Starwood Preferred Guest, Marriott Rewards, IHG Rewards Club, Hyatt Gold Passport, Choice Privileges, or other hotel loyalty program).
I recently matched to Hilton Diamond status a few months ago with my Hyatt Diamond status and was approved rather quickly. Hilton Diamond benefits include: 50% bonus points, late checkout, free breakfasts, room upgrades, etc.
However… In further reading into this offer, I noticed that the fine print listed at the bottom of the page states that the status will only be valid through March 2017. And… there’s also these lines: Offer is valid for recipient only. Invitation and offer is non-transferable.
So who knows?!
Of course, my first thought was to try to re-status match to “extend” my Diamond status to March 2018. But maybe that’s crossing the line? But let’s be real – I’m sure others had the same thoughts too.
Either way – there’s sooo much YMMV surrounding this opportunity, but it’s certainly worth a try if you have any status with other hotel programs - even if you just have status by default from a co-branded credit card (Hyatt Platinum from the Hyatt Credit Card, IHG Platinum from the IHG Credit Card, or Starwood Gold Status from American Express Platinum cards, etc.).
Who’s going for it? Please feel free to share your results below or further discuss!

Are you sure this is not a fake?

Am I sure? No. But it looks pretty legitimate to me. Still, YMMV
Adam says
Yeah. I guess I just noticed a lot of spelling mistakes.

This is not the same as the Diamond offer. It is status “match” which is undefined and at at Hilton’s discretion. In fact, some who submitted for the Diamond offer were only “matched” to Silver, the second tier. My experience with Diamond is “spotty”: about half the time I get no upgrade to the room at all, not even a better location, much less a suite. Breakfast can be Continental, not full. And at the last checkin there was no acknowledgment of my status and I was not even the 2 bottles of water. Hilton may have “overextended” the status through the prior promotion, which might just mean less for all.

When i click the link it is going to the HHonors website, not the promotion page. Do you have link for the promotion page?
Angelina Aucello says
It appears that they have discontinued the match :(

Just an update. My silver match before was upgraded to Gold with the new match, but no email from Hilton at all. Just logged in and saw that I was gold. Yay!
