I received an email related to my Hyatt Credit Card a few days ago offering me an additional 4,000 Hyatt points if I spent $4,000 on the card between April 15 and June 30 (no need to register for the offer).
I personally think this is a great offer, and I will definitely be putting the $4,000 spend on my card. With the bonus points accounted for, I’ll be earning a minimum of 2x per dollar (3x at restaurants).
This is also perfectly aligned with Hyatt’s new 75,000 point promo between April 1 – June 30 (registration is live). While I certainly won’t be staying 25 nights during the promotional period, I have some Hyatt & MLife stays lined up where I can earn 4x at Hyatt Properties (on top the 30% bonus for being a Diamond member) with this bonus credit card offer. Â Not bad!
I’m most looking forward to using the bonus points from this offer to “make up” for redeeming so many points for an upcoming stay at the Park Hyatt Milan.
Some data points:
- My annual fee on the Hyatt Card hits this month, so I can assume the offer was strategically-timed by Chase for me to keep the card open (which I do anyway because I find value paying the $75 for the annual free night certificate).
- My spend on the card is really low.
There’s also been several reports from others receiving a similar 4,000 point bonus offer on other chase co-branded cards (IHG, Southwest, etc.), so definitely keep an eye out, especially if your annual fee is around the corner.
Did you receive this targeted offer or a similar offer on any of your other Chase cards?

Hi Angelina,
I love your website and your passion for travel. I would like to know how do you complete the spending getting these miles? Do you buy Visa gift cards or money orders? I’m interested in the manufactured spend aspects of getting the points rather than what I will do with the points later. Thanks!

I’m not sure why, I never once have been picked for any targeted offers on any of my cards. It’s very strange

Same offer, on my IHG Rewards card. Although, truthfully, 4000 IHG Rewards points is NOT the same as 4000 Hyatt points. They should have adjusted higher for the IHG Rewards card. Not sure if I’m even going to bother. I’m definitely renewing the card, but I’d rather MS on my Chase UR cards….
