United has a pretty generous shopping portal deal where you can earn up to 5,000 miles on purchases through November 20.
The bonus miles are in addition to the miles you’ll earn through the retailer. For example, a $1,500 purchase at Macys.com can earn you 9,500 miles.
Also remember that if you pay with your Chase Freedom, you’ll earn 5x on department store purchases during Q4, capped at $1,500 (7,500 miles).
Overall, this is an extremely lucrative promotion that I probably will jump on. How about you?

I could sign up for the Discover IT card for 10% on $1500 of it and use Freedom to buy a $500 Amazon card at Rite Aid for the 2500 points, but dont want to apply for it card yet… waiting to try for Chase Ink Preferred (was surprisingly approved for CSR, and want to try my luck again). Best buy also offers 10% back usable in store for new store card sign-up, but would have to convince a family member to do it since I already have the card. Best buy via UA portal is .5 miles +5K bonus= 6K miles + current 5% best buy rewards bonus for the card I have.
