This means that via this flash sale, you have the potential to book a week-long stay at some of Wyndham’s most luxurious and unique properties for fewer points than a single night at normal rates. This is an amazing redemption opportunity, especially for those with upcoming family travel or planned group trips!

Sale Specifics

• Sale is limited specifically to the Cottages by Wyndham Vacation Rentals inventory and runs from 10 a.m. ET on 2/28 to 9:59 a.m. ET on 3/3
• Any Cottages property that participates in the program—over 15,000—is available for booking for just 15k points per night during the sale—you can view the properties online, but you must call to book.
• Bookings must be made before the sale ends on 3/3 for stays until January 7, 2018
• Sale is limited to the first 50 Wyndham Rewards members who book with a minimum of 2 nights and a maximum of 7.

Using Points & Cash

There’s an option of booking a combination of points + cash, if you don’t have enough points to cover all nights of your stay.

Say you want to stay 5 nights at a chateau in France. Let’s assume the cash cost is $2000 total for the 5 nights you want to book, and you only have enough points to cover 2 nights via points during the sale (30k points), but not enough points to cover the remaining three nights. In this instance, you would be able to call Member Services and book the full five nights using 30k points to cover the first two nights, and you can then cover the remaining three (approx. $1200) in cash.

Also important to note: if splitting the cost between points and cash, you must be able to cover a full night with points as Wyndham will be unable to discount partial nights using points. So… if you has 35k points, you could put 30k of those toward the cost of the stay and the remaining 5k would remain in your account.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I think this is an incredible redemption opportunity for a chance to have a unique multi-bedroom charming cottage or villa all to yourself that normally would not be on your radar. Many of the locations are in desirable areas, with a lot of local history, which automatically creates a more authentic travel experience.
