Great news for us on the east coast who frequent Atlantic City! Two few years ago, I blogged about The Borgata offering Status Matches to Borgata Black Label to those who held Gold or higher status with M life, and that lead me to believe it was only a matter of time that the Borgata would be joining the M life portfolio.
It was just announced today that Borgata will be joining M Life starting June 7, and will adopt M life Rewards’ five member tiers – Sapphire, Pearl, Gold, Platinum and the premium, invitation-only NOIR.
All current Borgata card level access and perks will remain intact, while new benefits such as personalized offers, complimentary parking for Pearl and above, and M life Moments will be added to enhance the program’s value to members.
M life Moments will offer one-of-a-kind experiences exclusive for members, and some examples of Borgata’s M life Moments will include an “Ultimate Spa Day at The Water Club,†“Wine Tasting with Borgata’s Sommelier,†and a “Lunch + Learn with Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian.â€
I’m definitely excited about this partnership, especially knowing that I can now earn Hyatt stay credits with my Borgata trips.
If you’re a World of Hyatt Explorist or Globalist member, you can status-match to M life Gold.
What are your thoughts on the Borgata joining M life in a couple of weeks?

My thoughts? Only bad thoughts, and aligns with the other downgrades at Borgata since the January. This is, perhaps, the beginning of the end of Borgata offering what was one of the best casino loyalty programs in Atlantic City. I outlined a number of my personal predictions in January.

Thanks for sharing your post! I also fear we are about to be doomed with 6 to 5 blackjack at Borgata sooner than later… :-/

My pleasure. The reasoning for the craps odds change (5x to 3x 4x 5x) was to standardise craps odds at Borgata with other MGM properties. So, one could possibly reason that low-limit blackjack tables will be “standardised” to MGM 6/5 blackjack. But, as we know, casinos tend to make the answers fit the given moment or question. There is very little 6/5 blackjack in Atlantic City (I believe Caesars has some outside of the Dusk Nightclub); so it will be interesting to see. Perhaps, they will take a “don’t piss off the high limit/high roller players” but, the other’s will accept the changes (sort of like resort fees and parking fees for non-status casino patrons).

Yes I 100% agree with everything you said

Is Borgata still doing status matches? I have Total Rewards Diamond and mLife Gold. Sure would be nice to get status matched and that free night.

Yes, but act fast. In theory, the Borgata Black (that you match to) will become Mlife Gold. But, if you have not matched previously to Borgata Rewards Black Card you should get the free night, comp dollars and match plays.

Just FYI, I have never been able to book a free night after my match to Black. I live in NJ and the comp room was “never available”. Even on weekdays far in advance, so don’t count on being able to use it – especially since peak summer season is days a way. But it was good for free parking and bragging rights! Lol

Did you call to book it? I always thought it was an “over-ride” night, not part of your regular COMP CALENDAR. When I did a match a long long long time ago, I used the free night for a friend for a Saturday night. (As an aside, currently I have COMP rooms/suites 7 nights a week on my personal calendar.) Not sure Borgata Black is really much for bragging rights… I’m impressed a “bit” by Borgata TITANIUM. Though, it’s a bit more of a “wow, you must be insane to qualify for TITANIUM!” :-)
