Overnight Launches “Groups” – Trusted & Private Home-Sharing Network For Female Travelers

June 22, 2017 by Angelina Aucello Leave a Comment

I just need to share some exciting news that’s step towards creating a safer travel experience for female travelers!

For years, I have been part of an awesome Facebook group called Girls LOVE Travel, which has grown to over 356,000+ travel-loving women who strive to empower each other to experience the world. It is such a great network and a positive group that I’m proud to be part of.

Last year, I also wrote about Overnight, which is an app that lets people book same-day on-demand stays with local hosts.

The Peer-to-Peer home booking platform just unveiled ‘Groups‘ as a pilot program with the Girls LOVE Travel group to offer safer and cost-effective travel options within private networks.

The great thing is that the hosts can feel comfortable when offering their home to someone they’re already connected with through a private network, and travelers can feel safer while saving a little money by staying with people you know while traveling.

Groups gives users the opportunity to search for and book stays exclusively with trusted networks and friends.

While I haven’t officially put Overnight to the test yet, I did have fun playing around with the app, and I’m excited to give it a go either when I’m feeling spontaneous or when hotel rates are skyrocket and I just need a place to sleep.

Now that there’s a partnership with Girls LOVE Travel, I feel much more comfortable that I’ll have a safe place to stay. As an added bonus, I can be paired with a potential new travel friend!

Overall I think this is such an exciting new development in the sharing economy, and I hope to see more “Groups” launch in the future.

If you haven’t already tried Overnight yet and it’s something you might be interested in, you can get a free $25 credit to start:

  • Sign up & download the Overnight app on your mobile device
  • Enter code “ANGELINATRAVELS†in the payment section for $25 to start (full disclosure, I will also get $25 ).

What are your thoughts? Have you used Overnight before? Ladies, Do you love Girls LOVE Travel as much as I do?
