One of the best things about this hobby are the people in it. There’s nothing more enjoyable than learning and talking miles and points face-to-face in a social setting with people who actually “get†it.
Due to popular demand, this summer there will be two east coast FTU conferences coming to town, and I’m excited to be part of the New York seminars in June!
Be sure to save the date(s):
- Frequent Traveler University Signature New York will be held June 9-10, 2018
- Frequent Traveler University Washington, DC will be held August 11-12, 2018
The events will delve into the intricate world of miles and points with two intense full days of sessions.
• Wish you could travel in the luxury of first class or stay in fancy hotels when you don’t bring home a big paycheck?
• Curious how you can earn miles when you’re at a business luncheon?
• Wonder what all the fuss is about with signing up for travel rewards credit cards?
Come learn how easy and fun it is to earn hundreds of thousands of miles a year by making simple, small changes to your everyday routine.
Event tickets include:
• Two days of expert-led sessions on Saturday and Sunday
• Plated lunch on Saturday and Sunday
• Free Internet in the conference rooms

Bottom Line
One of the best things about this hobby are the people in it. There’s nothing more enjoyable than talking miles and points face-to-face in a social setting with people who actually “get†it (on the other hand, some people never will).

Is the host hotel rate refundable if for some reason someone cannot make it? It doesn’t mentioned it on the site
Angelina Aucello says
Hi Melvin, thanks for bringing this to our attention. The room is now refundable.
Stefan Krasowski (@rapidtravelchai) says
@Melvin – thanks for pointing that out. It was an error on the hotel’s part. It took a while for them to work through it. All existing and new reservations are being updated to Marriott’s standard 72-hour advance cancellation terms.
