Ebates Introduces Travel Thursdays – 10% Cash Back on Hotel Bookings

February 22, 2018 by Angelina Aucello 2 Comments

Starting today through March 29, cash-back portal, Ebates, introduces Travel Thursdays, a 24-hour promotion that gives members up to 10% cash back on hotel bookings made through Ebates Hotels while also offering other opportunities to save.

If you don’t already have an Ebates account, you’ll receive $10 for joining (my referral link), after making any $25 purchase through the portal.

Each week, Travel Thursday will have a specific theme. Additionally, there will be other special deals and pricing on airfare, rental cars, cruises and activities.

Travel Thursdays kicks off with a ski week on February 22, featuring deals at popular ski locations including Aspen, Park City, Vail, Beaver Creek, Jackson Hole and Lake Tahoe.

The promotional themes for subsequent weeks include:

  • March 1—Europe: London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Barcelona
  • March 8—Beach: Rio de Janeiro, Cancún, Cabo San Lucas, Jamaica, Aruba
  • March 15—Big Cities: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas
  • March 22—Disney: Orlando, Anaheim
  • March 29—Resorts: Miami, San Diego, Maui, Ft. Lauderdale, Phoenix

The deals will be available beginning at 9pm PT on the Wednesday before and end at 11:50pm PT on Thursday.

Bottom Line

While I don’t normally book hotels through a third party booking website like Priceline, Hotwire, or Expedia, I think the Ebates Travel Thursday deals are worth looking at each week.

For instance, one of the 10% cash back offers this week is for Hotel Indigo bookings, which is in the IHG portfolio. The 10% cash back would apply to direct bookings, allowing you to earn points and receive elite benefits during your stay.

What are your thoughts? Do any of the Travel Thursday themes appeal to you?

Thanks for the heads-up! If these work like the rest of Ebates – i..e. a cashback portal that lets you make a direct booking- I am more than up for it! Wish they had the new york deals before March 15, though.

Yes, it definitely is a good deal getting 10% back on direct bookings! I’ll keep checking the deals each week to see which ones are worth participating in and sharing.
