As a Jersey girl, Atlantic City has always been one of my guilty pleasures, and it’s been quite interesting the follow the rise and fall of many of the casino hotels over the past five years.
This summer, Atlantic City is preparing for two new exciting openings – The Hard Rock and the Ocean Resort (formally the famed Revel), which will be opening as a Hyatt Unbound Collection property. I especially excited to check out both.
Last year, the Borgata officially joined the M Life portfolio, and many of us were able to status match to Gold thanks to the Hyatt and M Life partnership.
Well the exciting news is that the Hard Rock Atlantic City is offering up to two complimentary nights after July 2, 2018 (without any restrictions or blackout dates) to those who hold an elite card with another casino in Atlantic City.
M Life Gold members are eligible for one complimentary night, and Platinum and Noir members are eligible for two.
Also keep in mind one of the benefits of a FoundersCard is Total Rewards Diamond Status, which is another way to get one free night if you don’t have M Life Gold or higher status.
I was able to call up and book my free night during a busy summer holiday weekend where the room rate is currently selling for $550!
When booking, the agent will quickly sign you up for Hard Rock’s Wild Card Rewards account, and you’ll only have to provide proof of your competing elite status when you check in.
You’ll be charged $1 for holding the reservation, and will be responsible for a $22.31 resort charge for your free night. The $1 hold from booking will be applied to the resort fee during your stay.
If a family member or spouse also has casino elite status, you can lengthen your free stay by booking consecutive nights and asking the booking agent to link the reservations, so you don’t have to change rooms.
There is a 24 hour cancellation window, so there’s really not much risk in taking advantage of this offer if Atlantic City is in your plans this summer.
Bottom Line
With all of the crossover rewards within hotel and casino loyalty programs, it’s great to find opportunities to blend the two worlds together.
If you’re into miles and points and want to get your toes wet in casino loyalty (or vice versa) for more deals and strategies like this, I invite you to come join me in Vegas next month at ZorkFest.
ZorkFest 2018Â Las Vegas takes place at TI, Treasure Island Las Vegas May 25th to 27th, 2018. The weekend starts with a cocktail reception on Friday evening May 25th at 6pm. All conference sessions start on Saturday.
Not only will ZorkFest be a fun weekend filled with mingling and socializing with like-minded travelers, it’s a one-day conference featuring travel and casino loyalty sessions. You can use code zorkangelina for an additional $10 off registration.
I really hope I can see some familiar and new faces during a fun weekend in Las Vegas. There’s just something to be said about the gamblers’ rush, dressing up, and enjoying great restaurants, shows, and nightlife. It’s even better when surrounded by like-minded travelers who know how to have a great time!
Will you be booking your free night in Atlantic City? I would act fast – because I don’t see how an offer like this will last long, especially without any blackout dates or restrictions!Hat Tip: Miles to Memories

Can we do the 2 nights at Borgata or does it have to be the Hard Rock?
Angelina Aucello says
Hi Lana, the free night offer with competing elite status is just for Hard Rock
Lana says
Thanks Angelina! So I am currently an MLife Platinum level (thanks to Hyatt status). Do I first need to match it to Borgota MLife somehow to take advantage of this Hard Rock offer?
Angelina Aucello says
Nope, your MLife card is the same that the borgata would issue. Just call to make the two free night reservation and bring the physical card when you check in

Angelina,
Thank you soooooo much for the post. I just called Hard Rock and I was able to secure a comp night for August during the weekend. I am not a gambler, but I am hoping the hotel has a nice swimming pool. My son is 5 years old and I invited my girlfriend and her son for a fun sleepover/playdate. I am sure the boys will enjoy the Boardwalk and the pool and it will be a nice staycation during the hot (hopefully) summer in NYC.
I just have to stop by the Borgatta to get my MLife Gold card before we check in.
Thanks again.
Tania

I don’t think they have a pool :(
Lana says
Never mind they do have a pool!

Looks like the Ocean Resort – formerly Revel and now newly affiliated with Hyatt – is targeting an open the same day at the Hard Rock. I’ll be interested to see how many points they want for a room when they get it up on their site! We usually stick to Caesar’s once or twice a year, but never on the weekend since we don’t get much of a comp then. If I can get a weekend room using Hyatt points, I’ll be really excited.

I have Diamond card from total rewards and a gold card from M-life. Is it possibly to get 2 nights in a row using both cards?
