Priority Pass offers access to over 1,000 independent airport lounges worldwide, and many premium credit cards come with a Priority Pass membership as a cardmember benefit.
With AmEx’s expansion of their popular Centurion Lounges, Priority Pass has been making positive additions to their lounge network including Minute Suites for travelers needing a quick nap at ATL/PHL/DEN, and new restaurant options that allow members to enjoy a full service meal such as Bobby Vans Steakhouse and Timberline Steaks & Grill at DEN.
Priority Pass recently added another lounge expansion. From today, customers of Priority Pass and Lounge Club will have access to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounges in Dulles (IAD) and Newark (EWR).
This is an extension of the exclusive lounge partnership between Collinson (Priority Pass) and Virgin Atlantic. Priority Pass customers have had access to the Clubhouse at LAX Los Angeles since November.
With the addition to IAD and EWR, Priority Pass customers now have access to three of the six Clubhouse lounges in the United States, which are usually reserved for Upper Class passengers and Flying Club Gold.
Key features of the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses include free wifi, seasonal food menu, and complimentary drinks including wine and beer.
Here are the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse locations and hours at IAD and EWR:
- Dulles: Concourse A, across from Gate A32 between 6:00 and 13:30 daily.
- Newark: After the security checks in Terminal B between 14:00 – 18:00 daily.
Bottom Line
It’s nice to see that the Priority Pass lounge network is continuously expanding and improving, making the membership more valuable for travelers with the addition of more lounges.
I love that there’s a new airside Newark lounge option in Terminal B to visit since the only other Priority Pass lounge in Terminal B is land side.
Have you visited the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at LAX, IAD, or EWR using your Priority Pass card before?

With the time restrictions, are the lounges practically accessible? Does this also mean that premium food is not available during these hours?

I’ve had several late-afternoon departures recently from IAD, so the 1:30pm lounge closing time is a bummer. But maybe on a future trip. Visited the Turkish Airlines lounge a few weekends ago, which was [crowded but] pretty nice overall.
