New Promo: Earn Double Hyatt Points at MGM Properties

Starting today, October 1 to December 29, 2018, World of Hyatt members can now earn double points when staying at participating MGM Resorts Destinations in Las Vegas.

With this promotion, you’ll receive your standard 5 Base Points per eligible $1 through World of Hyatt and an additional 5 Bonus Points per eligible $1 for eligible stays at participating Las Vegas properties.

This promotion is even more rewarding for those who have the new World of Hyatt Credit Card because you can receive an additional 4 points per dollar spent at Hyatt when you use your card to pay for your stay. I canceled my old Hyatt Credit card, waited 30 days, and was instantly approved for the World of Hyatt Credit Card (and was eligible for the welcome bonus, too).

To be eligible to participate in this promotion, you must register and stay from October 1 and December 29, 2018, and be a member of both World of Hyatt and M life Rewards. You can expect the points to post to your account within three to four weeks after completing a qualifying stay.

Bottom Line

If Vegas is in your plans this fall and winter, this promotion can be pretty lucrative. For example, if you pay for a $200 stay in Las Vegas with your World of Hyatt Credit Card under this promotion (for a total of 14 points per dollar), you would generate 2,800 points (~$52 value) before any elite bonus points are calculated based on your status. Top-tier Globalists receive a 30% bonus on points earned, and using the $200 example would generate a total of 3,640 points (~72.80). Very generous!
