$30 Dining Credit at EWR if You Have United MileagePlus Premier Status

December 27, 2018 by Angelina Aucello 5 Comments

I like to give credit where credit is due, and I must say that EWR, my home airport, has made some significant improvements to its restaurants and dining options inside United’s Terminal C (including a new exclusive invitation-only and “secret” restaurant, Classified).

As someone who flies United almost exclusively by default these days, I’ve had my fair share of meals at Terminal C before flights. I was thrilled to stumble upon an article written by my friend Mike LaRosa about how he came across a sponsored Instagram ad from @united offering United Premier members a free meal.

The ad says that United MileagePlus Premier members can receive a $30 dining credit at EWR by dining at an OTG restaurant that offers an iPad-ordering system in Terminal C just by scanning a boarding pass (one redemption per person).

Participating restaurants include:

  • Abruzzo Italian Steakhouse
  • Caps Beer Garden
  • CBGB L.A.B.
  • Classified
  • DAILY
  • Flora Café
  • Happy Clam
  • Little Purse
  • Melange Bakery Cafe
  • Nonna’s Meatball Café
  • Oeno Wine Bar
  • Proof Whiskey Bar
  • Riviera
  • Saison
  • SURF
  • Tacquila
  • Wanderlust Burger Bar

Bottom Line

I love a free meal (who doesn’t?), and $30 dining credit is pretty generous. There are no further details available online, but an ad coming from @united certainly makes this offer seem legit.

With that being said, I have absolutely no clue when the offer expires, and I don’t have any upcoming United flights out of EWR until the New Year to test it out myself, so I’m solely relying on the reports of others to let us know if the credit triggers.

Any volunteers with upcoming travel through EWR available to report back about their experience?

Happy travels!

Didn’t know about the promo, but visited Classified on Christmas Day – after scanning our BP’s, my partner and I were each given $30 off. On top of that, they were doing first glass of champagne/wine free. Total of ~$20 to avoid the crappy United pop-up club and get a pretty decent drink/meal.

Thanks for sharing, Darin! That is an excellent holiday surprise. I got targeted for the free cocktail but I haven’t had a chance to pop in and use it. Happy travels!
