Hyatt just announced a new promotion whereby World of Hyatt and Hyatt credit cardmembers have the opportunity to receive 10% of their redeemed points back for redemptions made between July 1 and September 2, 2019 (the entire stay must be completed by September 2). Eligible redemptions include free nights, Points + Cash stays, room upgrades, dining and spa services, FIND experiences and more.
Cardmembers must first register between June 14 and July 15, 2019 to be eligible for the promotion.
I got the new World of Hyatt Credit Card last summer and it’s my favorite hotel credit card. The World of Hyatt Credit Card offers a sign-up bonus of 50,000 points (25,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. Plus, 25,000 Bonus Points after you spend $6,000 total within 6 months of account opening).

The good news is that existing reservations already booked during the promotional time period will also count for the 10% back, just as long as you register for the promotion by July 15, 2019. Points will automatically deposit in your World of Hyatt account 6-8 weeks after the redemption has been completed.
Bottom Line
Though this is not nearly as generous as Hyatt’s previous promotion to 20% back on redemptions from a few years back, 10% back on redemptions is still a generous surprise and great opportunity to stretch your points just a little further this summer. 10% back on top-tier properties sure do add up to significant savings – for instance, earning 3,000 points per night back on a 30,000 point per night redemption is worth about $60 in my opinion.
