One of my favorite things about the points and miles community is actually talking about travel face-to-face in a social setting with people who “get” this quirky hobby. Soo… If you’re in the NYC area and can spare a few hours for a good time next Tuesday, read on. If you’re the shy type, don’t worry – we’ll have some fun icebreakers available and maybe even some prizes ;).
What: Join the Reach for the Miles Meetup Group, 102 members and growing, to RSVP and be informed of future events in the NYC area.
When: Tuesday, July 30 at 6:00 PM
Where: Professor Thom’s in the Lower East Side, located at 219 2nd Avenue between 13th and 14th Streets. The nearest subway stop is the Union Square L, N, Q, R, 4, 5 and 6 trains. We’ll be getting together upstairs.
Bloggers Who’ll Be Attending: The inaugural event will be hosted by UPGRD Mike, joined by Just Another Points Traveler (yours truly), Will Run For Miles, The Miles Professor, UPGRD Fozz, and Wandering Aramean. I might even nudge “The Dad” to come too.
Eats: There will be both a cash bar and food menu available in our dedicated area. Professor Thom’s is extending their happy hour special for us: $4 draft beer and $5 well drinks and wine.
