I love how brands are turning to social media channels such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to host contests and give away prizes.
I recently learned about a fun Hyatt Place contest, where they are giving away “200 nights in 200 hours” to celebrate the opening of their 200th Hyatt Place hotel.
Beginning August 18th through August 26th, if you share a photo showcasing Hyatt Place via Twitter, Instagram, or Foursquare/Swarm, then you can win a free Hyatt Place night if you are one of the selected winners.
For your photo to qualify, you need to tag it with #HyattPlace and #HPEntry. The winners aren’t exactly selected by random either, since this is a contest. Winners are selected based on: creativity of photo (50%) and also the extent to which photo captures Hyatt Place brand (50%). You can read contest’s the full T&C here.
I entered via Instagram with a photo of my room at the Hyatt Place in Waikiki. I was thrilled to receive comment on the photo from Hyatt this morning stating I was a winner!
