Earlier today a post from one of my favorite bloggers made its way into my inbox. Kendra, who writes Points and Pixie Dust, blogged about her hiccup in blogging due to so many new and exciting things going on in her life (including an awesome job that she’s been super passionate about) that have been keeping her super busy and distracted from the wonderful world of points and miles.
With that being said, I figured it was my turn to “check in”. It’s been a little over 2 weeks since my last post, and while I can’t blame a cool new job for my disappearance, I have certainly been away for good reasons!
At the end of October, Baby Points got his first passport stamp during a family trip to Aruba, then we had fun celebrating his first Halloween where I dressed him up as an owl. Speaking of babies, on the following day, we had an impromptu gender reveal party with our immediate families (we found out we have a baby girl coming in a few months on my birthday!).
I’m also working with my mother-in-law to help bring her dream of opening up her very own high-end consignment store. As a woman, researching and being around all types of designer clothes is not so torturous to say the least.
So, yes, life has been busy, but for all the right reasons.
I am still crazy in love with points and miles, and I do have tons to write about (including some of my recent credit card retention bonus updates). I appreciate all of the emails and tweets. I will dive into my inbox later tonight and tomorrow to get back to all of those who have reached out in the past few weeks.

Angelina, I have to thank you- because of your blog, I won 2 free movie tickets plus snacks. A nice holiday treat for me and mom during the holidays. I am glad that you’re back blogging; but I’m even happier that your life is going great. Isn’t that what this is all about? Finding a way to have a great life and not be in major debt? :)

Angelina – Yes! We do indeed live parallel lives, although I will not be doing a gender reveal party anytime soon :). Congrats on your big news – SO excited for you!!
I always look forward to your posts. The fact that they don’t happen as frequently these days just means that I appreciate them even more.
