If you’ve been waiting to hear about positive results from others before putting in the time and effort to hand-write 94 entries for IHG Priceless Surprises promotion, then I have great news for you – the points are coming in! Dad texted me this morning telling me that 51,500 points credited to his account.
A Recap
The promotion was originally advertised/intended as this:Â get 1,000 points on your first qualifying IHG stay with a check in date between November 15, 2015 and February 15, 2016. Then for each subsequent qualifying stay during that time period, you’ll get a “Priceless Surprise”.
However it was soon discovered there was an alternative way of participating: According to the official rules, “From November 15, 2015 to February 15, 2016: You can enter the Instant Win Game without completing a Qualifying Stay… Each entrant is eligible to receive up to ninety-four (94) Game plays during the Promotion Period, regardless of method of entry.â€
Going into further detail, all one needs to do is hand-write 94 postcards and envelopes to receive a minimum of 500 points per entry (for a minimum total of 47,000 points for 94 entries).
The Priceless Surprises promotion ends on February 15, 2016, which means there’s still several weeks left to consider taking part of this mindless (albeit time-consuming) promotion. Don’t forget that you must Register at IHG to make sure you get credit for the mailed entries.
Personal Experience:
Like others, I waited a bit before starting my entries because I wanted to see how things were going for the early birds. Dad, on the other hand, wasted no time getting started. He completed his 94 entries right away, as soon as the promotion was first announced. We were almost certain his envelopes would get rejected because of the fact that they were postmarked before the promotion actually started. Luckily that wasn’t the case and he received his first batch of emails within 15 days.
As far as myself, I personally do not find hand-writing 94 post cards and envelopes to be an enjoyable task… but when there’s points on the table, it can be done… ;)Still not motivated? You can pay someone…
Reader Edward recently reached out with an interesting proposition…
If you wanted to participate in the IHG promotion, but didn’t want your hand to fall off, he’ll do it for you for a fee. Simply fill out the online form with the necessary info, make a PayPal payment for $156 ($100 for labor, $56 for materials/stamps), he will take care of the entry submission, where you can get back a minimum of 47,000 points (it’s like buying them for $.0033/each).
First and foremost, you must Register at IHG to make sure you get credit for the mailed entries.
Step 1: Pay via PayPal for the Mailing Service:
Step 2: Fill out this form so they have the information to hand write and send out 94 envelopes w/ entries to IHG:
Once they’ve fulfilled the order, you’ll get an e-mail out with a photo of all the envelopes they’ve hand filled, and as long as IHG processes the entries, the points should show up in a few weeks. Keep in mind that they’re not affiliated in any way with IHG, they’re just handling the laborious task of filling out entries by hand and mailing them off. The rest is up to IHG for making sure points are applied, etc. They can’t guarantee any part of that process, only that they’ve mailed out 94 entries to IHG.
What are your thoughts? Have you participated & had your points post yet? Please feel free to discuss your experiences.

I sent my first batch 8-10 days after the start of the promotion, but have not received a single confirmation email or points posting yet. Any other similar data points? Thanks.

Mailed 40 on 11/27. No emails yet.
Chris says
Sent four too early before open date for mailing. But got four email entries from those after about three weeks.
As for points, got 500 from each entry posted to account 10 days later.
Sent another dozen mail entries in early December but no response yet.
Assuming those roll in on a similar schedule, I’ll probably go ahead and slog through the additional 82 entries on a rainy day in January.
The dad says
write the entries yourself. Not too bad, and you get more value and memory.

I got emails finally last Wednesday. 26 last week and 13 today. So far all have won 500 points except one was 1,000 and one was 5,000. Last week’s points have posted. I sent them in batches, so this makes sense.
Neil says
Sent in 18 entries the week of November 30. Got my first three emails today. 500 points each of course.
Carl P says
Marlene – When did you mail your first batch?
Marlene says
Hard to remember exactly. Probably at least 10 days or so after promo started. The last batch for sure was on December 6 (only know because I did them on a flight back from Seattle).

Sent all 94 at once on 12/10/15. Still no emails. My guess is after word got out that someone won 1 million points they have been flooded with entries and probably running behind.

Do you think it’s too late to register for this promo?
tara says
Does this require the IHG MasterCard to participate?
Angelina Aucello says
Any MasterCard. If you don t have one, just use first 6 numbers of anyone s master card ymmv
tara says
awesome. thank you so much for the quick reply!

Can I transfer my IHG points from my account to my wife’s account, or vice-versa? SPG allows transfers, but I don’t know about IHG.
I sent 94 entries the day after Christmas and then mailed 94 entries for my wife a few days later. Seems like I will be waiting a while to hear from the good folks running this contest. They must be up to their eyeballs with entries.

I have sent in 94 (starting with just a couple a day for about 3 weeks, then the balance in a couple of batches). Received 4 on 12/11, then 12 more on 12/30. No points posted yet (even from the first 4). However, I am encouraged hearing that someone’s points are actually posting!

The mailing service link in the article doesn’t seem to work for me.
