You can earn extra miles and points with almost every online purchase (I’m especially excited about now earning 3 JetBlue TrueBlue points per dollar on Amazon), and with the holiday season upon us, it would be silly to leave extra miles on the table.
One shopping portal I just discovered is the Barclaycard RewardsBoost Program, exclusively for Barclaycard holders, which allows you to earn extra miles for shopping online at hundreds of merchants. To gain access to earn extra miles by shopping through the Barclaycard RewardsBoost portal, you first have to be Barclaycard cardholder. You can access the portal when you are logged into your account.
Keep in mind that only some Barclaycards qualify. For instance, the Barclaycard Arrival Plus® World Elite Mastercard® qualifies, but the The JetBlue Plus Card does not.
To see if your card is eligible, log in to your online credit card account page, click the “Rewards & Benefits” tab if that’s an option. If so, you can then select “Earn miles faster with RewardsBoost.”, and that will take you right to the portal.
You’ll earn extra miles for every $1 you spend, depending on the merchant, and those miles are in addition to the miles you’d earn from just using your credit card.
Occasionally, you’ll see an offer for a lump sum of miles with a purchase, or another bonus like free shipping, or an exclusive discount. There are some great savings, especially for many travel merchants that aren’t available in other credit card travel portals.
For instance, you can earn 4x on IHG hotel bookings + the 2x you’d automatically earn on all purchases made with the Barclaycard Arrival Plus® World Elite Mastercard®. No other credit card portal offers points for IHG bookings when I did a comparison search on CashBackMonitor.com.
Though I haven’t made a purchase myself using the Barclaycard RewardsBoost Program, it’s always nice to find out about a new portal and to earn extra miles when you can!
Have you used Barclaycard RewardsBoost before? What shopping portals do you use when shopping online?
