One of the greatest freedoms overlooked by most Americans is the freedom to travel the world. I’m still shocked by the actual number of Americans who do not hold a passport.
On the other hand, I know many travelers hold more than one passport and will use them to their “advantage†when traveling (such as getting around paying a reciprocity fee, etc.).
The Passport Index ranks each country’s Passport by their Passport Power Rank. Passports are ranked based on their Visa Free Score. The higher the Visa Free Score, the better the Passport Power Rank.
This year, the top of this list includes Singapore, Germany, Sweden, and South Korea. The very bottom include Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and Syria – no surprises there. You can take a look at the full list for yourself here.
For what it’s worth, in my post from February 2016, the United States ranked at #1.
What passports do you hold and where do they fall on the list?
