Mile Play: Check to See if Your United MileagePlus Account is Targeted to Earn Bonus Miles

February 1, 2018 by Angelina Aucello Leave a Comment

In December, United introduced “Mile Playâ€, a new way to earn miles with United MileagePlus®.

The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card

I just logged into my United app last night, and it looks like the offer is back for targeted accounts, allowing select members to earn bonus miles by completing tasks between now and March 11, 2018.

As you can imagine, the offers vary greatly, ranging from just a few thousand bonus miles to the potential to accumulate massive amounts (to the tune of 90,000+!).

Keep in mind that you’ll have to first register for the promotion, and only airfare purchased after the time you register will count towards the promotion.

I checked eligibility for everyone in my household, and only my brother and I were targeted this time around.

My offer allows me to earn a total of 14,300 bonus miles if I book and fly a premium cabin ticket ($1,500 minimum) and dine with MileagePlus dining.

It’s safe to say that it’s highly unlikely that I will be purchasing a $1,500 ticket in the next month, so I am pretty much out for this one.

On the other hand, my brother’s offer was to take one trip ($175 minimum) to receive 7,000 bonus miles, which is a fantastic offer.

You can check to see if your MileagePlus account was targeted by opening up your United mobile app or entering your MileagePlus number here.

Bottom Line

Overall, I think this is a nice surprise if you had some United travel in the pipeline over the next few weeks. My offer is far from attainable to me, but some offers are definitely even mileage-run worthy.

Were you targeted? If so, what was your offer?a black and white text
