In December 2016, JetBlue announced a pretty lucrative partnership allowing you to earn 3 JetBlue TrueBlue points per dollar spent at Amazon while flying or on the ground.
Today, TrueBlue members received a notification in their inbox alerting them of changes to the way they’re able to earn points on Amazon purchases [emphasis mine]:
While you can still earn 3 TrueBlue points per eligible* dollar spent on Amazon purchases made when logged in to Fly-Fi® during JetBlue flights, non-inflight purchases will no longer be eligible for the 3X offer effective 3/27/18.
Bottom Line
I always thought that the JetBlue/Amazon partnership was insanely generous, and they were the only airline program offering miles for purchases at Amazon.com. Since TrueBlue points are worth a minimum of 1.4 cents each, it’s like earning 4.2% back to use towards JetBlue flights!
While I’m bummed with these changes, I’m surprised a deal this good lasted so long.
