Amazon currently has a promotion valid until December 22, 2018 where you can get a $15 credit when reloading $100 or more using at least one AmEx Membership Rewards point.
This seems to be. To receive your promotional credit you must:
- Activate this promotion (check to see if you’re targeted, or you  can try entering AMEXRELOAD15 at checkout to receive your $15 promotional credit when you reload $100). Note that you will NOT receive the credit unless you click the activation button.
- Reload $100 or more between July 31, 2018 01:00:00 PM, 2018, and December 22nd, 2018, 11:59:59 PM
- Choose your Membership Rewards eligible American Express Card under “Select a payment method” and use Membership Rewards points for at least a portion of your Reload.
For qualifying purchases, a promotional credit of $15 will be automatically applied to the Amazon.com account that was used to reload your Amazon.com Gift Card balance within three (3) days after completing the qualifying reload using American Express Membership Rewards points.
Bottom Line
This is a great opportunity to add an additional $15 to your Amazon account if you shop on Amazon already regularly.
This didn’t work for me. I activated the promo but it never asked me for the promo code. I am annoyed that I just spent $100 without a discount of any kind.
It states that the $15 promotional credit will arrive in your account within 3 days. If it doesn’t/you don’t feel comfortable waiting, Amazon will likely refund your purchase. They have amazing CS – I once didn’t get my AmEx points for an Amazon Prime gift membership & I reached out more than a month later and they refunded me entirely.
Hi have you received the $15? Could you update back once you do? I’m interested but worry it does not ask about the promo code.
I put in 1 pt, will it ask me to use another card for the balance?
Unless targeted (I was not – grrrr) there is no place to enter the discount code before payment (unless I am totally missing something).
