I spoke a bit about my love for an the benefits of status matching at FTU NY this past weekend during my “Getting the Most Out of Your Hotel Programs” session, and it was very nice to meet many of you!
Deals We Like recently shared a new status match & challenge opportunity all the way up to Hilton Diamond, and it’s definitely worth registering for if you have top-tier status in another program.
This current Hilton status match grants you the opportunity to enjoy 90 days of an instant Hilton Honors Diamond or Gold status and a chance to extend the status all the way until March 31, 2020 by completing 8 stays (or 4 for Gold) within the next 90 days.
You’ll have to provide proof of status and your recent account activity from a competing program.

I immediately submitted my World of Hyatt Globalist credentials, and I received confirmation in my inbox that my Hilton account had been upgraded to Diamond the following day.

This is a generous offer that allows you the possibility to retain Diamond status for almost two years!
Whether you can use the status in the next 90 days or not, it never hurts to sign up for status matches when they’re available.
You never know when your plans may align where having status will benefit you, and you can sometimes use status obtained from a challenge to leverage other status match opportunities as well.

I’ve looked at the T & C, but not seeing that which constitutes a stay. Cash only, points only or points and cash?

The terms seem so vague but any eligible stay that would generate a qualified stay with Hilton would apply to the challenge requirements.
Interesting, I was just denied with Radisson Rewards Gold.
